Why divine names matter in worldbuilding

A god's name is the first relic of a religion. Long before temples rise or scriptures are written, the name shapes how mortals speak about the divine. A harsh name suggests a harsh faith. A flowing name suggests mercy or mystery. When you name a god well, every prayer, curse, and oath in your world inherits some of that flavor. The name becomes a tuning fork that the rest of the lore vibrates against.

What makes a strong god name

Strong god names usually share a few traits. They are easy to chant, which matters because worship is repetition.
